SHOU Offering Short-term Food Science Training to the Department of Fisheries of Thailand Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives

September 2-6, recommended by the Office of Agriculture of Royal Thai Consulate-General, Shanghai, Dr. Pisit Wongsa-Ngasri and Dr. Watcharee Kongrat from the Department of Fisheries of Thailand Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives paid a visit to SHOU for a one-week short-term training about food science.

Supported by the principals of the College of Food Science and Technology and the College of Fisheries and Life Science and guided by warm-hearted professors in this field, they learned dielectric heating, marine biopharmacy, aquatic products processing, food safety, algal biotechnology, and other relevant contents, and visited related laboratories.

In October, 2018, SHOU signed a cooperation agreement with Thailand Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives. This training was the first cooperation program since the signing of the cooperation agreement. The successful implementation of this program marks the formal launching of cooperation and exchanges between the two sides.
