On October 16-17, the International Symposium on the UN Marine Bio-diversity Beyond Areas of National Jurisdiction (BBNJ) was held in Xiamen, and embraced more than 130 representatives, experts and scholars from 15 countries, including China, the US, Switzerland, South Korea, Singapore, Japan, Russia, South Africa, Argentina, Australia, Fiji, Egypt, Ghana, Indonesia and Bangladesh. Dean and professor Tang Yi and teacher Liu Huajie from the College of Marine Culture and Law of SHOU also attended the symposium at inviation.
