From December 6 to 9, Prof. Toshimichi Maeda and Watanabe Benmin, accompaniedby five graduate students at National Fishery University, visited our schooland attended the 4th Joint Seminar of Shanghai Ocean University and JapaneseFishery University”.
The opening ceremony of the seminar washosted by Vice President He Aihua of the Graduate School. Prof. Zhong Junsheng,Director of the Office of International Exchange, on behalf of the school,warmly welcomed the delegation of faculty and students from Japanese NationalFishery University and addressed a speech with Prof. Watanabe Benmin. Both partieshoped that the seminars of the two universities would continue to be held topromote the understanding and exchange of young people in China and Japan.
At the seminar, a total of 10 graduatestudents from both universities gave academic reports on their own achievementsin scientific research. Graduate students Hachisuka Matsuyama、Zober Chihiro、Motohiko Nakamura、Izumi Toshiyuki、Yoshiaki Wada, as well as Yu Fei, Jin Shirong, Zhang Jing and Song Jie from ouruniversity and Emmwnkl Okint Neokye from Ghana made interesting academic exchangereports respectively on aquaculture, marine science and food science. Prof.Chen Shunsheng and Wu Wenhui from the College of Food Sciences and Technology attendedthe scene and gave post-commentary guidance to these reports. The atmosphere ofthe conference was warm, and two professors and students attending the meetingconducted full exchange of ideas and discussion. The achievements of ourgraduate students in scientific research and communication also deeplyimpressed Japanese teachers and students. The academic exchange reports notonly expanded the international perspective of graduate students, but alsoenhanced the exchanges and friendship between the postgraduates of the twouniversities.
