The 10th World Chinese Symposium on Crustacean Aquaculture being grandly held in Shanghai Ocean University
First launched in 1998, the World Chinese Symposium on Crustacean Aquaculture has been successfully held for ten times by 2016. From about 200 participants in 1998 to about 700 in 2016, the scale of the symposium has been continuously expanding, covering participants from both the academic circle and the industrial circle. The symposium of this year is so far the international academic symposium with the highest grade and widest coverage held in China in the crustacean aquaculture field. The holding of the symposium also fully testifies to the continuously upward developmental trend of our river crab industry and the increasingly closer attention and more frequent participation from both the academic circle and the industrial circle, which no doubt will exert an important impact on further pushing forward the industry-university-research integration and development of our crustacean aquaculture field and on promoting the improvement of industrial technology.
