(Series Activity of Food Highland Discipline)
According to the Peak Disciplines and Highland Disciplines Construction Plan of Shanghai Municipal Education Committee and the Food Highland Discipline Construction Plan of SHOU, the Academic Symposium of “The 9th Sino-US Food Policy & Sustainable Development Forum 2016”, undertaken by the College of Food Science and Technology, will be held in SHOU from Oct. 24 to 25, 2016, with the purposes of further improving the level of our food plateau discipline construction and further extending and expanding the international cooperation of our food-related disciplines. In 2007 and 2012 SHOU successfully held the first and fifth forums, and the forum of this year will embrace more than 40 experts and scholars from University of Georgia, Auburn University, University of Maryland, National Taiwan Ocean University and Shanghai Ocean University, who will engage in hot discussions about “food safety, food economy, food-related laws and regulations as well as policies, and sustainable development of the food industry”.
