The paper named Tracking the Internal Waves in The South China Sea with Environmental Satellitesun Glint Images, with Liu Bingqing (a member of the ocean remote sensing team of International Ocean Research Center and a 2000 grade postgraduate student of the College of Marine Science) as the first author, was published in the international SCI publication Remote Sensing Letters in July 2014. One of the illustrations of this paper was selected as the cover of the July-September, 2014 quarterly issue of such publication. In this year, Liu has published 2 papers in international SCI publications as the first author. The previous paper named Internal Solitary Wave Propagation Observed by Tandem Satellites was recommended by the official website of European Space Agency (see Campus Network News on May 8, 2014).
Remote Sensing Letters is the academic journal in the field of remote sensing published by the Britain-based Taylor & Franics, one of the largest science and technology publishing houses in the world. As one of the flagship publication in the field of remote sensing, this quarterly publication only publishes 4 covers each year. The fact that the research content of the postgraduate student of our university is selected as the cover of the international SCI publication indicates that the research contents and level of the postgraduate students of our university have been among the best in the world. This is another important achievement of the International Ocean Research Center in the group scientific research and training of postgraduate students after the introduction of international first class talented chief scientists in several key fields of ocean researches.
