Li Manliang is a senior student majoring in Korean, and went to Sookmyung Women's University in Korea as an exchange student last February for a one-year exchange program. Just one year, she actively participated in various volunteer activities in Korean society to understand Korean culture and exercise individual ability. In the meantime, she achieved excellent academic achievements, and recently (early December) won the GKS Korea Outstanding Student Exchange Scholarship.
GKS stands for Global Korea Scholarship, namely South Korea national scholarship. For the purpose of encouraging outstanding students, within Korea hundreds of excellent foreign students are chosen every year to be offered 800,000 KRW awards, and reimbursement of return ticket. The reporting requirements of GKS are as follows: 1. academic grade point should meet the requirements; 2. South Korea accepted language (Korean, English) certificate; 3. to submit their own self-referral letter and academic plans; 4. The recommendation letter of the student’s university.
