Dr. Anne-Mari Ventelä is the head of aquatic environment division,Pyhäjärvi Institute and adjunct professor in aquatic ecology, University of Turku, Finland. Her research interests are mainly focusing on lake and river ecosystems, management and lake fishery,with topics covering “effects of climatic variation on eutrophication”, “eutrophication, recovery of eutrophic lakes”, “past and future of the aquatic environments”, “food web structure of eutrophicated lakes----stable isotope studies”, “lake fish and fishery, crayfishery”, “removal fishing and biomanipulation”, “effectiveness of implemented water protection measure----cost effectiveness” and “sense of place attitudes of lakes”.
